A stone's throw from the city center, this park is bursting with
water and greenery, and is just perfect for cherry blossom viewing.
There is a pond and open area for playing in the water,
and there are also sculptures for you to enjoy. An international
art museum is located in one corner of the park.

Housing approximately 18,000 different artworks,
this sanctuary of art is truely world-class. It features an exhibition
hall, studio and hi-vision gallery, and offers local citizens a
place to display their artwork.

Centered on Yakushi Pond, this park with its historic folk buildings
has a relaxed atmosphere. Depending on the season, you can enjoy
the blossoms of 250 plum trees and 2,300 Japanese iris plants while
sipping amazake (sweet sake) at Yakushi Teahouse.
Access: At Odakyu Line Machida Station North Exit, take bus 53 or
55 departing from Stop No. 21 in front of POP Building, and get
off at Yakushi-ike.
Located next to Yakushi-ike Park, this park is home to golden-backed
squirrels and Asiatic chipmunks. You can feed the squirrels sunflower
seeds from your hand and watch them eat.

off at Yakushi-ike.
This park, renowned as the largest expanse of greenery in the city,
is located in Tama Hills and is visited by streams of people all
year round. Built in beautiful natural surroundings, the park's
main facilities not only include a public golf course, but also
the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art Kawasaki, traditional folk houses,
a Traditional Craft Center, Kawasaki Municipal Science Museum for
Youth, a Planetarium, an observation platform at the top of Mt.
Masugata, and an iris garden.
Access: From Machida Station, take the Odakyu Line to Mukogaoka-Yuen
Park and walk 15 mins.
